WORLD EDUCATION FAIR

On Saturday, 19 th August, 2023, MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul, an IB world school hosted the World Educational Fair at the World Peace Dome. There were more than 100 renowned universities from around the globe and each university had some of the best-fit programs to offer which were aligned
with our preferences. The fair was very informative and insightful.
There was a wide range of universities starting from the University of Melbourne, Australia; the University of Glasgow, Scotland; University College London, UK, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland; SCAD, USA; Instituto Marangoni, Italy; and SP Jain School of Global Management, India, to name a few. Representatives from Education USA, IDP Education India, Next Genius Scholarship Program and ETS India provided us with valuable information related to language proficiency tests and scholarships.
All the university delegates were well-versed in the offerings of their respective institute. They had a proactive approach and were keen to build a long-term relationship with the students in order to keep them updated with information related to the educational programs on campus, events,
summer schools, webinars and internship programs.
They ensured to go over details including pre-requisites for admission, how to avail a scholarship, the cost of tuition, summer programs, webinars, subject combinations offered at the university across a variety of fields, choices for choosing our major and minors, the minimum marks requirement for admission in the university, the need for IELTS, SAT or TOFEL. In addition, the delegates also emphasized the importance of Letters of Recommendation and Statement of Purpose to help us enhance our college applications in the future.
The World Education Fair was incredibly informative because it enabled us to personally connect with representatives from several universities around the globe. Attending the fair gave us a clear picture of the various career options and recommended universities that fit the chosen career
choice. Students were able to categorize and shortlist some of the universities in accordance with their career paths.
