Pastoral Care at VGWS
At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, we believe students thrive when they feel safe, heard, and valued. Pastoral care is central to our ethos, ensuring that each learner is emotionally supported, academically guided, and personally empowered.
Through collaborative mentorship, proactive counselling, and a culture of empathy, we create a learning environment where children feel at home and grow with confidence.
The Well-being Framework
Our pastoral work framework includes:
- Daily mentorship by homeroom teachers or house parents
- Structured life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions
- Full-time school counsellors providing mental health support
- Ongoing health and nutrition education
- Circle time, journaling, and restorative conversations
- Peer support groups and student wellness leaders
- Close coordination between academic staff, boarding staff, and counsellors
Life at the Residences
For our boarding students, pastoral care is seamlessly woven into residential life. With trained and compassionate house parents, counsellors, and mentors on site, students receive around-the-clock support. From settling-in assistance to emotional support during exams, the hostel teams provide structure, care, and connection— making residential life a nurturing extension of home.
