At Vishwashanti Gurukul World School, a leading IB World School and international school in Pune, we believe that exceptional student outcomes begin with exceptional educators. Our annual INSET Programme is a comprehensive teacher professional development initiative designed to strengthen teaching excellence, foster collaboration, and prepare our faculty for a successful academic year.
This year’s programme featured a thoughtfully curated series of workshops and interactive sessions, including The Story Between the Lines: Understanding Boarding through Popular Culture, How Do I See Change?, Building a Culture of Empathy, POCSO Awareness & Child Protection, Conflict Management, Perspective: The Art of Collaboration, Emotional Intelligence, Classroom Observation & Reflective Practices, and The Role of a Mentor. Dedicated DP Wing Meetings and Self-Directed Learning Time for MYP Teachers provided opportunities for curriculum-specific planning, innovation, and reflective practice.
Aligned with the principles of IB educator training, the programme encouraged educators to embrace inquiry, reflection, and lifelong learning while strengthening their ability to create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. Through collaborative discussions, mentoring, classroom observations, and practical strategies, teachers explored innovative approaches that support the holistic development of every learner.
The outcomes of the INSET Programme were evident across the school community. Teachers enhanced collaboration and reflective practice, strengthened safeguarding and student well-being initiatives, and improved classroom effectiveness through meaningful feedback and professional learning. The programme also reinforced a culture of empathy, teamwork, and continuous professional growth, empowering educators to inspire curiosity, resilience, and global citizenship.
As a premier international school in Pune, Vishwashanti Gurukul World School remains committed to investing in teacher professional development and IB educator training, ensuring that every classroom reflects the highest standards of academic excellence, innovation, and compassionate education for learners in an ever-evolving world.
