UPO Updates – September 2021
The University Placements Office at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Focuses on the diverse learning interests of our students and help them make informed decisions about their higher education. Every week, we aim to facilitate University related interactions so that our students could take advantage of in-depth guidance of specific faculty, research facility or student culture within a particular learning community.
To prepare students to better understand their potential we facilitated the following interactive sessions for our DP students:
1. Interaction with Switzerland Hospitality College
On 27th of August we hosted delegates from Switzerland Hospitality College to discuss the hospitality industry with our students and to guide them through the various programs & careers available.
2. University of Waterloo
University of Waterloo conducted a webinar for our DP-1 & DP-2 students on 27th of August. It was a very interactive session, where students cleared out most of their doubts pertaining to study abroad and the course requirements in University of Waterloo.
3. University of Bristol
We had a University presentation by University of Bristol, UK. The University representative guided our students through the various courses and opportunities the University offers, college applications, requirements, selection process and financial aid application process were covered during the session.
4. Interaction with Vidyashilp University
On 3rd September we had the opportunity of hosting a Indian University – Vidyashilp University to discuss careers in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. We had with us Dr. Smitha Rao, Dean of Academics & Senior Faculty, Vidyashilp University among us. Professor discussed the opportunities available in the Data Science sector and Artificial Intelligence.
5. Presentation by Hult Internation al Business School
Ms. Neha Shetty, from Hult International Business School joined us for a interactive session with our DP students. Ms. Neha presented her University to the students and guided them through the various programs & student support that the University offers. She discussed the application timelines, financial aid application, career advice & guidance service & placement support the University offers.
With better understanding on the admission requirements and eligibility criteria, the students have moved one step closer towards their college destination and dream career. We will continue to conduct such informative sessions so that our students are aware of the challenges that lie ahead and are motivated to work harder.
