International Peru Conference

On the 29th of August, DP1& DP2 students participated in a virtual conference that was hosted by a school in Peru via zoom. Schools from countries such as Peru, Spain, Switzerland, and Turkey took part. The aim of the conference was to talk about an influential female personality from their country. From MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul, DP-1 and DP-2 took Sudha Murty and Savitribai Phule accordingly. The students spoke about their school and the influential women of their countries. They presented the achievements and accomplishments, challenges and obstacles faced, the changing point, contribution to society, and impact these women had on the current generation.

This conference encouraged us to learn more about different countries and interact with different students globally. It helped us to expand our knowledge of various cultures and developed our international mindedness. Along with developing our research skills, our communication skills were also extremely useful. After the presentations, there was a Q&A session for 10 to 15 minutes where the rest of the participants would ask questions about the figure chosen by the main speaker. Overall, it was an incredible opportunity for the DP-1 and 2 students to learn more about female figures from different parts of the world and interact with other students virtually.
