Being open minded and fostering international mindedness is very important in the IB curriculum. Keeping that in mind -The 14 th July, French National Day was celebrated by our IBDP 1 and IBDP 2 French students with great enthusiasm. They had many fun filled class activities like sandwich making activity with writing the recipe in French, T shirt painting activity with French words to appreciate French culture.
IBDP 2 students, SL and Ab Initio students had a joint session to discover various aspects of France together. Students engaged actively in research activities to learn about the history of France, about the French revolution which they shared with their friends in class. Students listened to the Marseillaise-The French National anthem, they made posters and invitation cards. They made interesting Power point presentations to discover various aspects of France – the gastronomy, Fashion in France, Places to visit in Paris, which they presented in class.
A general knowledge quiz, in class, to test their knowledge of France and French culture. All in all, a great start to the academic year, and a fun filled learning experience for our students.
