Living the Learner Profile in Early Years (EY) and Primary Years Programme (PYP)

At Vishwashanti Gurukul, our young learners embody the IB Learner Profile in their daily lives, setting a foundation for lifelong learning and personal growth.

In the Early Years, children demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm as they explore their world. They ask questions and engage in play-based learning, showing their inquirer and thinker attributes. Through interactions with their peers and teachers, they develop communication skills and learn to respect different perspectives, reflecting the communicator and open-minded profiles. Additionally, they are encouraged to express their feelings and understand the importance of empathy, aligning with the caring attribute.

In the PYP, students continue to build on these foundations. They become more knowledgeable by delving into subjects with deeper understanding and reflecting on their learning, showcasing the knowledgeable and reflective attributes. Collaborative projects and discussions help them work effectively with others, enhancing their abilities as communicators and principled individuals. They also learn to take risks in their learning journey, be resilient in facing challenges, and embrace new ideas, embodying the risk-taker and balanced profiles.

At every stage, our students strive to make positive contributions to their community and the wider world, embodying the essence of the IB Learner Profile and becoming well-rounded, globally-minded individuals.
