MIT Pune’s Vishwashanti Gurukul Boarding fosters tender care and smart grooming to all the boarders under its wings. We believe that the students have the potential to excel in any chosen field; they only need a jumpstart to do so and our boarding is designed just for the same. We make an utmost attempt to bring out a fine young adult from the little child we receive. In cognizance with Guru Shishya Parampara, the seasoned boarding staff delivers pastoral care while imbibing the right virtues, morals and ethics in the students which makes them ready to take on life beyond the school premises.
Our boarding team comprises of members from different parts of the country, celebrate different culture, and speak different languages which creates a rich and diverse environment. Our team’s major role is to develop a close relationship between the boarders, their parents and the academic team so that every child feels that they are in ‘A HOME AWAY FROM HOME’.

We hope and expect the students and parents to follow some significant rules strictly to facilitate the smooth functioning of the school and ensure a disciplined, safe and comfortable environment conducive for learning and growing.
We expect that :
Parents can call the children between 8.00 PM to 10.00 PM on a regular basis. In case of any emergency parents can call up the Boarding Coordinator or House Master/Mistress. Please note that there will be no calls for the first 15 days and parents will receive the important updates from the boarding team on a regular basis. House Master/Mistress should remain the only point of contact regarding your ward. The boarding team will send a monthly report to the parents.
The school refectory will provide B’Day cake for the student’s celebration. A standard 2kg cake order can be placed to the refectory only. The amount for the same will be debited to their imprest account. No outside cake or eatables are allowed in the school for birthday celebration.
The school premises and Boarding houses are surveilled by ample of security personnel who work in shifts for 24 hours a day. Also, the entire campus is equipped with CCTV cameras for the safety of the children. Students will not be allowed to leave the premises unless they are with a staff member, parent or guardian or have parental permission.
All visitors to Gurukul must register at the front gate and will be required to provide photo identification. Visitors are then issued with a Visitors Pass. To assist in this procedure it is advised that all parents have their photo identity card with them during their visit.
Each of the Boarding houses are fitted with a fire security alarm. Practice evacuations drills and mock drills are held each term/year. All boarding staff are trained in the appropriate response to security and safety drills.
We have a fully equipped medical room with 24 hours doctor and nursing facility. Our students also receive medical attention from hospitals out of the campus. When this occurs, a member of staff will generally accompany the student to their appointment. Parents are notified by the doctor or a boarding staff, usually through a phone call. If the hospital visit is of an urgent nature, parents will be contacted immediately. Any student who is admitted to the hospital for an overnight stay is accompanied by a boarding staff member.
We, at Gurukul, are working towards giving our students a holistic education by inculcating discipline as a “habit”. We are growing from strength to strength as we follow the mission of Gurukul. We believe that the school and parents must work as a team with a common objective to produce responsible citizens. With this in mind, we would like you to observe the following guidelines:
Students must ensure to bring the following items:
Please note: Twice a week the laundry services will be provided to the students. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the laundry to the laundry staff and keep a list of the items submitted.
