The Golden Ball and the Golden Boot for Gurukulians!

The boys of Gurukul proved their potential at the International Schools Football Tournament, at Pune.
On the 15th of October the students of Vishwashanti Gurukul World School participated in the 1st International Schools Football Tournament at Balewadi International Stadium, Pune in under-14 Boys and the under-17 Boys respectively. The former group achieved the victory by securing the 1st place and the latter by bagging the 2nd place which was worth an appreciation. Master Sachit Bindra of Grade 10 Chandra was declared the Best Player and got the Golden Ball Award and Master Yash Kolwankar of Grade 9 Ravi was declared the Highest Scorer of the tournament and got the Golden Boot Award (10 Goals).
On the 16th of October the boys also participated in the under-18 boys in Basket Ball and Tennis in Spandan 2011 Tournament at Lonavala. However, the Basket ball team secured the 3rd position. All the Boys gave their best performance. Mr. Jitendra Yadav the H.O.D of The Sports Dept. felt very proud while giving out the news.
