On 17th September, 2011, students of grade VII along with 3 teachers visited “APALA GHAR” a home for homeless children and old people. This was a general visit to develop a symbiotic relationship between the people of two organizations. It aimed for developing a feeling of sharing and brotherhood among the students of VGWS and Apala ghar.
They visited the Doranji Ashram Branch, which is a beautiful place at Khadakvasla, Pune. The warm welcome given by the head of organization filled their hearts with glory. Interaction between the children helped them to share each other’s culture and values. A short movie on how the organization was established and run by Mr.Phalnikar was also shown to our children, which actually revealed and open the eyes the students who were able to understand the challenges in life.
The purpose of the visit is fulfilled as it made our students realize and respect the importance of relationships in life. It was a great learning experience for all who visited the organization.
