Investiture which means investment – investment of time—investment of responsibility and investment of authority.  Before commencing any program as we have a tradition of spreading the message of peace, we all rose for the World Peach Prayer.   Then IBDP Principal and Co-ordinator Mr. Venugopal, PYP Principal Mrs. Rama Shinde, IGSCE Co-ordinator Mr. Satish Paul and PYP Coordintor Mrs. Prasoona were invited to light the lamp. The flame of lamp signifies removal of darkness and continuous upward movement, d path of wisdom and divinity.  It was followed by “The Saraswati Vandana” performed by our dear PYPians Anushka, Jyotsana and Shravya.

Vishwashanti Gurukul, as an education system holds the responsibility of preparing the next generation to secure a rewarding future and to preserve a closely-knit society.  Besides providing a sound academic education, we nurture in our children, strong moral values and strength of character.  It is only through a holistic education that we can prepare them to deal with life’s inevitable challenges, face the difficulties that will emerge from time to time and excel as individuals.

Keeping this in mind the captains, the deputy captains and the prefects have been selected on the basis of their conduct, academic performance, achievement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, their leadership qualities, punctuality and sense of accountability.

Before the students accepted the badges, they signed an agreement wherein they promised to fulfill their duties and responsibilities.  IBDP Principal & Co-ordinator Mr.Venugopal defined leadership in his crisp words with a message to the Prefect Body that no deviation will be accepted.  PYP Principal, Mrs. Rama Shinde administered the oath.  Thereafter, PYP Head Boy, PYP Head Girl, School Head Boy and School Head Girl shared their emotions for being selected for the profile and how accountable they felt.  They promised to fulfil the responsibilities and coming up to the expectations.

Towards the end of the ceremony, the PYPians sang the School Song.  The ceremony concluded with a note of congratulations wherein the students were given the privilege to have lunch with the Senior Management Team.
