All students must enter the Refectory in an orderly manner

Students are required to dress in the appropriate attire e.g. no hats, no gloves, no sports wear, no bare feet, no shorts etc are allowed in the Refectory.

Uniform must be worn during the School Day; smart casuals may be worn in the evening and at weekends.

Students must always sit in their designated area unless otherwise advised.

Once upon entering the Refectory, students will remain standing, behind their seat until requested to proceed by the Principal of Boarding, House Parent or teacher in charge.

Students must always wait for their whole table to finish eating before standing or clearing their own tray.

It is advised that all students must finish their food before retiring from the Refectory. Students are encouraged not to waste food.

All students are required to behave in the correct manner during meal times. Polite conversation is encouraged. Table etiquette is a must i.e. polite language, correct use of utensils, elbows off the table, eating with one’s mouth closed, do not reach across the table etc.

Students may only leave the Refectory with the Principal – Boarding, House Parent or teacher in charge’s permission. If a student has finished their meal, he / she must wait patiently until dismissed.

No head phones, MP3 Players, Personal CD Players, Video Games, Laptops, and Board Games etc are allowed into the Refectory.

If the student is unhappy about the quality of the food, meal or seating area, he / she may approach the Principal – Boarding, House Parent or Teacher in Charge about the issue after the meal in a mature and sensible manner.
